COVID-19 response

To all of our friends, supporters, and partners:

It’s a crazy time we are living in right now and we are doing our best to stay healthy, well, and safe as we adjust to life with COVID-19. We hope you all can do the same as we all learn how to live during this unprecedented time.

With that said, we wanted to provide a brief update regarding PTP 2020. We are monitoring the situation closely and are ready to be flexible as this situation continues to unfold. The safety and health of our riders and communities is a top priority and one we will continue to assess. Our team will make a decision about Seattle’s launch (June 13th) in early May. We hope that if we do come to the conclusion that it is unwise to proceed with the physical ride down the coast, the PTP 2020 team will step into this uncertainty with creativity and passion. Whether we are on our bikes on the Pacific Coast or not, our mission is to fight for victims of trafficking and use our stage to amplify their voices and their stories.

It’s far too convenient to assume that this worldwide pandemic and sex trafficking are not connected. When we came together as a team, we came together with the goal and commitment to fight for victims of sex trafficking - whether we are on our bikes or not, that’s why we are here. So in the midst of the unknown and all of the uncertainty, we are committing to learning how this pandemic is affecting those who are being trafficked and those who are vulnerable. We hope that you’ll follow along with us.

We are always grateful for your support as we fight injustice together. We can make a change in the world by coming together and that is something that will never change!

Sending love and light,

The Pedal the Pacific Team
